YEREVAN. – The activities of the Eurasian Economic Union (EaEU) are getting closer to their launch not under a good economic shape of its member countries, and, first and foremost, of Russia, Hayots Ashkharh daily reported.

“All this has increased the economic risks of not solely Russia, but of the [other] EaEU member countries [Kazakhstan and Belarus].

“Armenia, which gets closer to the signing of the Eurasian Economic Space accession agreement under not so favorable economic conditions, also is not an exception.

“Whether or not Armenia will become a member of the Eurasian Economic Union, the risks to the [country’s] economic growth have increased over the last year.

“[But] one thing seems clear that the originally assumed inflationary pressure will not happen. The customs duties on [Armenia’s] around 800 products will remain the same for the time being, albeit this does not mean that there will be no inflationary pressures in other cases,” Hayots Ashkharh wrote.
