YEREVAN. – The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) circles inform that the RPA Board meeting on September 6 was quite “stormy,” Haykakan Zhamanak daily reported.

“[President and RPA Chairman] Serzh Sargsyan thoroughly spoke about the constitutional referendum and, also, he expressed dissatisfaction with RPA [National Assembly (NA)] Faction Head Vahram Baghdasaryan that he was unable to properly ensure the RPA MPs’ presence at the end of the spring session of the NA, as a result of which several bills faced the danger of not being passed.

“Sargsyan also reflected on the RPA member women, and instructed [them] to bicker less with one another because of business trips and similar other reasons. He said that such disagreements quickly appear in the pages of the press and become a common topic of discussion, which has a negative impact on the climate formed around RPA,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
