YEREVAN. – Armenia’s “Syunik Eagles” patriotic NGO chairman, Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Khachik Asryan is coming up with “interesting” ideas, Chorrord Ishkhanutyun (CI) daily reported.  

“CI has learned that he has stated that he wishes to award RF [Russian Federation] President Vladimir Putin with the Syunik Eagles Medal. 

“He said that he is holding talks with the Armenian authorities so that the awarding event be representational.  

“The deputy minister’s objective is to organize the medal-giving ceremony in [the] Syunik [Region],” Chorrord Ishkhanutyun wrote.
