YEREVAN. – The Armenian State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (ASCPEC) has started inspections at the South Caucasus Railway Closed Joint-Stock Company, Hraparak daily reported.
“The reason is the businessmen’s complaints about the transportation tariffs.
“The railway management raised them six-seven months ago and as a result, the businessmen have begun carrying out shipments by motor vehicles.
“ASCPEC Press Secretary Gayane Sahakyan confirmed our information: ‘An extensive study is conducted at the South Caucasus Railway company. In particular, the company’s pricing policy is studied in connection with passenger transportation and cargo transportation,’” Hraparak wrote.
