YEREVAN. – A total of 5,590,832 people, or 1.2 percent more than in 2013, have visited Georgia from January to November of this year, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reported.

“The Georgian MIA [i.e., the Ministry of Internal Affairs] has issued such data; and 2 million 710 thousand of them are tourists.   

“According to the MIA data, the number of visitors from Armenia to Georgia has increased by 2.7 percent. [A total of] 940 thousand people have traveled from Armenia to Georgia in the first nine months of this year. One million 290 thousand people from Armenia visited Georgia in 2013. This is the second [highest] indicator after Turkey, [with] 1 million 600 thousand people. Azerbaijan is in third place, [with] 1 million 80 thousand people,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
