YEREVAN. – As the Hraparak daily’s sources close to the Government of Armenia report, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan is quite worried about the terrible inflation rates in the country, and therefore he is attempting to prevent, by “original,” non-market methods, the inflation that has reached enormous proportions as a result of the dram-dollar fluctuation, the daily reported.   

“He summons for the businessmen, urges, requires [them] not to raise the prices of goods, not to flare—at the threshold of the New Year—the anger of the people who already have run out of patience.  

“The advice was especially addressed to the dairy producers, and this [advice] led to their profound discontent because they already have started working with a small profit,” Hraparak wrote.
