YEREVAN. – The US dollar’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 391.50/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Friday.

A mere four transactions were conducted, and the reason for this low number of trading was because the dollar’s demand exchange rate had dropped all the way to AMD 391/$1.

The total sales were $1 million.

The expectations are conflicting in Armenia’s cash foreign market. Those banks that forecast a strengthening dram have dropped the dollar’s purchase exchange rate all the way to AMD 389/$1, whereas the banks that predict otherwise have raised this rate until AMD 390.5/$.

By and large, the dollar is offered at AMD 392/$1.
