YEREVAN. – It is apparent that many citizens of Armenia wish to head to Europe and seek political asylum there. But grounds are in need for this, Hraparak daily writes.   

“The [upcoming parliamentary] elections are an extremely good opportunity to receive the status of a politically persecuted. According to our information, those intending on heading for Europe are becoming the proxy of an opposition [MP] candidate to receive a corresponding certificate.   

And if something out of the ordinary were to occur in the [election] precinct, all the better; you can consider the matter resolved. According to our information, there are even candidates who nominated especially to leave for Europe,” Hraparak writes.
