YEREVAN. – Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan on Monday received Belarusian FM Sergei Martynov, who has arrived in the capital Yerevan on an official visit.  

Sargsyan and Martynov agreed that there is a desire to further strengthen the Armenian-Belarusian ties and expand the collaboration, specifically emphasizing the need to develop the economic cooperation, the President’s Press Office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.   

The interlocutors considered several domains  to be promising, and, also, stressed the importance of experience exchange and cooperation in nuclear energy sphere.  

Highlighting that Armenia and Belarus, as allies, are also active participants in the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization), President Serzh Sargsyan and FM Sergei Martynov underscored the need to carry out a mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of international organizations, too.
