Recently a program about Armenia, its history, the Armenian Genocide and the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict was aired on the ARTE France-German TV Channel.

The channel told the story of the falling of the Ottoman Empire and the Policy of the Young Turks, the execution of half million Armenian and the formation of the Armenian Diaspora.

In the part of the program, dedicated to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the authors mentioned that Karabakh is native Armenian land, which was forcibly attached to Azerbaijan by Stalin in 1921. When the USSR broke apart and Armenia and Azerbaijan got independent Nagorno-Karabakh also aimed for independence.

Azerbaijan tried to keep it by military force. After three years of war the Armenians liberated Nagorno-Karabakh from Azerbaijani troops. A ceasefire was signed but there is still no peace in the region. As the authors of the program mentioned, the efforts of OSCE MG have not led to success yet.
