PARIS. – French organization the “Collectif VAN” (Armenian Vigilance against Negotiation) will hold the eighth annual day for raising the awareness of the Armenian Genocide on April 22 in the Notre Dame Cathedral porch, Nouvelles d`Arménie reports.

The action, organized for the 97th anniversary of the Genocide, will take place on the day of the first round of presidential elections in France and in the background of the acute recent debates on the bill criminalizing denial of the genocides. It is important to explain the necessity of the bill. At the same time the porch will have a ballot box, for the people to vote for the issue symbolically.
