The director of an Italian museum Antonio Manfredi burned a painting as a protest sign against the government’s indifference towards culture.

The director burned the painting in front of the museum entrance on Tuesday evening.

As Antonio Manfredi explains, he tries to attract the attention of local, regional and national authorities towards the problems of art and thus find a financial sponsor for his museum.

According to Italian media, the protest action will continue until the government responses to the demands of the museum director.

The next painting will be burned on Wednesday evening, NEWSru.com informs.
