YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Edward Nalbandian on Thursday attended in Brussels the NATO Afghanistan International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) countries’ FM Council extended session.

Addressing the event, Nalbandian reconfirmed Armenia’s commitment to continue assisting in the efforts toward establishing peace, security, stability, and interethnic solidarity in Afghanistan, MFA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

“Armenia came to Afghanistan to participate in the joint international efforts to help that country in establishing peace with itself, its neighbors, and the international community, [and] to not allow the destructive actions by terrorist forces. We have been eyewitnesses to that in our region, and we know what that means,” the Minister noted.  

Also, Nalbandian stressed that Armenia will continue contributing in the establishment, preservation, and consolidation of peace, security, and stability in Afghanistan. 

Along the lines of the conference, Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian also conferred with his colleagues from several countries.
