Sadly, the pages of our history are not solely about victories and ascents.
April 24, the commemoration day of the Genocide victims, is not only the day of our nationwide mourning, but also the day of our determination to live and of our moral character.
Three years later is not only the 100th anniversary of the Great Armenian Genocide, but also the ‘several-thousand-plus-100th anniversary’ of living with a recollection and a will. We will continue to be the masters of what we have created. We have and will not forget what we have lost, because, again, we are its masters. We are the Armenian World.
We have a desire to build, in the capital Yerevan, a Holy Martyrs’ Church in memory of all our martyrs and innocent victims of all times.
We will strengthen our state, the Armenian Homeland, together; and together we will pass on to the coming generations the memory of the new triumphs; and especially with that state which will no longer allow any genocidal action or operation against the Armenian man, against any man,” the President’s message specifically reads.
