Armenian Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan received the newly appointed International Monetary Fund (IMF) Resident Representative in Armenia, Natalija Novta, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the Ministry of Finance of Armenia.
First, Hovhannisyan congratulated Novta on assuming the position, and expressed confidence that further cooperation will be effective and mutually beneficial. He also expressed special gratitude to the outgoing IMF Resident Representative in Armenia, Umang Rawat, for his dedication and consistent partnership during his tenure.
During the meeting, the parties highlighted the successful completion of the first review under the IMF-supported Stand-By Arrangement program, as well as the agreement reached on economic policies.
The progress in implementing the structural benchmarks envisaged by the aforesaid program was also underscored, and the importance of further expansion of IMF technical assistance to Armenia was emphasized.
In addition, the parties reaffirmed their willingness to continue and deepen productive and constructive cooperation.
