The US State Department plans to issue a limited-edition series of passports dedicated to the country’s 250th anniversary, featuring President Donald Trump. Fox News reports this.
According to the presented mock-up, Trump’s portrait on the document’s inside page will be placed against the background of the text of the Declaration of Independence and the American flag. Another page also features John Trumbull’s painting “Declaration of Independence,” dedicated to the Founding Fathers of the United States.
A State Department spokesperson told the channel that the new passports will be available to all US citizens who apply to receive them. The launch of the series is expected by July, as part of the celebration of the country’s 250th anniversary.
Fox News notes that the initiative is part of the “America250” program, which includes a number of events, including sporting events and public celebrations in Washington.
