Hraparak daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows: In parallel with the anti-Russian actions of Armenia’s authorities, Russia is developing lists of new sanctions against Armenia, which are already accessible in open sources, which are openly discussed.

Moreover, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s [possible] visit to Armenia is also considered among the moves that provoke anti-Russian actions. Thus, the Russian side envisages restrictions on the import of seasonal agricultural products, flowers from Armenia to Russia, as well as on the purchase of certain mining products (molybdenum ore, decorative stone, etc.) from the RA.

The other [sanctions’] package, which is more dangerous, concerns the revision of agreements on the utilization of nuclear waste from the Metsamor nuclear energy [plant of Armenia].

That is, they [i.e. the Russians] will no longer take the [nuclear] waste from Armenia, while there are no appropriate conditions in our country for its utilization, and this could lead to an ecological disaster. In addition to this, the individual restrictions on the real estate and financial assets of Armenian businessmen and civil servants in the RF [i.e. the Russian Federation], the demonstrative expulsion of some from the RF, the ban on entry, etc.
