Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan has called for a cool-headed approach to the information that Russia’s Wildberries and Ozon online marketplaces have suspended sales by Armenia’s sellers.

“It is possible to reach solutions at the level of state relations, so I suggest a cool-headed approach to all issues. My experience shows that there are no unsolvable issues. We will work even on weekends, clarify the situation, and resolve the issue,” the minister promised.

In response to the reporters’ remarks that Armenia’s businesses from various sectors are having problems selling their goods in Russia, and that Armenia is actually facing serious problems, Papoyan noted: “There are no serious problems, these are all small things, they will be resolved, everything will be fine.”

He added that there have always been problems, and they have always been resolved. “Russia is our partner. I am sure that after June 8 [i.e. the next day of Armenia’s parliamentary election], we will work better with Russia. We [i.e. the incumbent Armenian authorities] will be re-elected [in the election], and we will work even better [with Russia],” said the Armenian minister of economy.
