Numerous heads of state and heads of international organizations on Monday are arriving at the venue for the 8th European Political Community Summit in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.

The event will be held at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is welcoming the guests.

The first to arrive are Moldovan President Maia Sandu, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.

This year, the summit is being held under the motto "Building the Future: Unity and Stability in Europe."

During the talks, the leaders will discuss expanding cooperation in areas such as energy, transport, digital technology, and infrastructure connectivity. Particular attention will be paid to current global challenges, including the situation around Ukraine and the consequences of the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.

The summit is expected to adopt a joint statement, as well as sign a number of documents aimed at further developing the EU-Armenia partnership.
