Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has complained to the EU leadership about hybrid threats.

In the media section of the inaugural Armenia-EU summit in Yerevan, Pashinyan noted that a wide range of agenda issues were discussed, and there is a shared position and mutual understanding on most of them.

Also, Pashinyan thanked the EU for its assistance to Armenia in democratic and institutional reforms. “Democracy is not a whim for us due to circumstances, but a strategy chosen by the people of Armenia,” the premier said.

According to him, all the reforms that could be implemented based on political will have already been implemented in Armenia. Institutional, legislative, and expert investments are needed for their continuity, Pashinyan added, pointing to the importance of cooperation with the EU in this matter.

He expressed gratitude also for the assistance provided in establishing the independence of the judicial system in Armenia, as well as in countering hybrid threats, the spread of disinformation and hatred on social networks and in the media.
