The special representatives of Armenia and Turkey for the normalization process, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Ruben Rubinyan and Ambassador Serdar Kilic, met Tuesday within the framework of the Yerevan Dialogue 2026 international forum in the Armenian capital.

The parties exchanged views on the current progress of the Armenian-Turkish normalization process and welcomed the recent meeting of the joint working group on the repair and operation of the Gyumri-Kars railway.

In this context, they stressed the mutual interest of Armenia and Turkey in ensuring the rapid operation of the railway. Furthermore, the special representatives noted the signing of the protocol on the joint restoration of the historical Ani (Silk Road) Bridge.

They emphasized that this initiative will intensify bilateral cooperation, expand institutional ties, and significantly contribute to regional tourism.
