The latest American plan for settling the conflict contains conditions unacceptable to Tehran. This was reported by the Iranian news agency Tasnim, citing its own source.
According to the source, despite reports in the American media that the sides are close to signing a memorandum, Iran has still not given an official response to the U.S. proposal. The source also indicated that the American media’s information campaign is intended to justify President Donald Trump’s statement about the completion of Operation Project Freedom to ensure the transit of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
Earlier, the Axios portal reported that Washington and Tehran are close to signing a one-page memorandum on ending the armed conflict. According to the publication, the American side expects Iran’s response within 48 hours. In turn, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei stated that Iran continues to study the proposals and will convey its response through the Pakistani side.
