The Israeli Air Force carried out intensive strikes on Wednesday in southern Lebanon and the western Bekaa Valley.

The Lebanese health ministry said 13 people were killed and 42 others were injured in the past day.

The death toll since the start of the military escalation on March 2 has reached 2,715, with 8,353 injured, according to a summary posted on the Lebanese health ministry's X account.

The ministry added that rescuers are continuing to clear rubble in some areas, so the number of dead and injured could rise.
