Following the Armenia-EU summit in Yerevan, a working arrangement on operational cooperation in border management was initialed between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia and Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency.

The document was signed by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Arpine Sargsyan, and the Executive Director of Frontex, Hans Leijtens.

The signing of the working arrangement with Frontex will enable Armenia to respond more effectively to migration and border challenges, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia stated.
