I will not be able to attend the events to be held in Russia on May 9. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this at a press briefing Thursday.

According to him, such a decision was made due to participation in the upcoming election campaign in Armenia.

“During my visit to Russia in April, I notified the Russian President that I would not be able to participate in the events on May 9 due to the [election] campaign in [Armenia],” Pashinyan noted.

On Saturday, May 9, solemn events dedicated to the victory of the USSR in the Great Patriotic War will traditionally be held in Russia.

The election campaign for the elections to the National Assembly of Armenia, scheduled for June 7, will be held from May 8 to June 5.
