Gevorg Nersisyan and Hambardzum Nersisyan, the brother and nephew, respectively, of the Catholicos of All Armenians, Karekin II, have been released from house arrest, and administrative supervision has imposed on them as a preventive measure.
Gevorg and Hambardzum Nersisyan were detained on the basis of a report by Harutyun Mkrtchyan, the Republic party’s candidate for mayor of Vagharshapat city—better known as Ejmiatsin, alleging that they had obstructed their election campaign.
