The Zhoghovurd daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: Today, on May 8, the [parliamentary] election campaign is launching. 19 political forces will run in the national elections to be held on June 7, offering their ideas and political platforms to the public.

ArmLur.am presents which force will launch its campaign from where and how today. The [ruling] Civil Contract [party] will launch its campaign from the south of the Republic, from Syunik Province. Strong Armenia [party] will launch its campaign in front of the RA NA [(National Assembly)], with a press conference by [its coordinator,] Narek Karapetyan.

The Armenia Bloc will launch its campaign from the spiritual center of all Armenians, Etchmiadzin. Wings of Unity [party] is launching its campaign from the Goshavank monastery complex in Ijevan. The ANC [i.e. the Armenian National Congress party] informed ArmLur.am that, in fact, the campaign has already begun.

“On May 7, the ANC, after more than two hours of discussion, adopted and then presented its election platform. On May 9, ANC members will visit Victory Park [in Yerevan] to pay tribute to the memory of the heroes who created the victories,” the ANC told us. The Alliance of Defenders of Democracy for the Republic will launch its campaign from the Ashtarak enlarged community. The Republic [party] will first visit the Yerablur Military Pantheon [in Yerevan] to pay tribute to the memory of all the dead, then will have a meeting with the residents of Kentron [district of Yerevan] at the Hakob Paronyan theater, and will lay flowers at the bust of Vazgen Sargsyan. The Democratic Unity Party will launch its campaign from the border village of Voskepar.

We were informed by the I am Against Everyone [party] that it is not yet known which city or province they will start from. “During this time, our youth have been working in the provinces, but we have not made a decision yet. In any case, we are thinking of starting in a non-standard way,” the I am Against Everyone political force conveyed.

The NDP [i.e. the National Democratic Pole party] will launch its campaign in front of RA NA, holding a press conference. The DOK [party] will launch its campaign on May 9, visiting both Yerablur and Victory Park to pay tribute to the memory of the martyrs and highlighting the idea of the May Tri-Celebration.

The Reformist Party will launch its campaign from its own office: 10 Teryan [Street], Yerevan. The Meritocratic Party of Armenia, emphasizing the importance of the Shushi Liberation Council, will visit Yerablur today, May 8, to lay flowers in memory of the martyrs, and then on May 9 will start its campaign from the paternal capital, Gyumri.

The New Power Reformist Party, the Prosperous Armenia Party, the Bright Armenia Party, the Alliance Progressive Centrist Party, the Kochar National Revival and Nation Awakening Party, and the Christian Democratic Party have not yet announced where and in what format they will start their [election] campaign.
