Russia is creating modern weapons based on combat experience, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, RIA Novosti reports.

“Alongside Russian warriors are workers and designers, engineers, scientists, and inventors. Continuing the traditions of their predecessors, they are drawing on modern combat experience to create advanced, unique weapons systems and are expanding their mass production,” he said during his speech at the Victory Day parade.

According to Putin, the key to Russia’s success is its moral strength, courage and valor, unity, and ability to overcome any trials.

“The key to success is our moral strength, courage and valor, our unity and ability to withstand everything, to overcome any trials. We share a common goal, and everyone makes a personal contribution to victory,” Putin said before the parade began.
