Iran has rejected the terms for a conflict settlement put forward by the US, describing them as equivalent to “capitulation” and declaring its “full readiness” to defend its nuclear facilities, Iranian state television reported.

The Tasnim News Agency said Tehran insisted on “military compensation from the US, Iran’s full sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, the lifting of sanctions [on Iran], and the return of seized Iranian assets.”

Tehran’s response called on Washington to also end its naval blockade, guarantee that it would not attack again, and lift the ban on Iranian oil sales, the agency said.

At the same time, it noted that the Iranian plan was presented in response to the proposals put forward by the US, and it emphasizes the fundamental rights of the Iranian people.

On Sunday, it was reported that Iran had conveyed its next set of demands to Pakistani mediators regarding the settlement of the conflict with the US.
