Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that during a talk with US President Donald Trump in mid-February, he did not assure the American leader that a joint military operation by the two countries against Iran would lead to a radical regime change in the Islamic republic.

In April, The New York Times had reported that during a closed meeting between the leaders of US and Israel on February 11, Netanyahu had expressed a conviction that the war against Iran would end the Islamic Republic.

But according to the head of the Jewish state, he, on the contrary, had noted the uncertainty of the outcome of the operation. Not only did he note that, but they both agreed that there are not only uncertainties, but also risks, the Israeli prime minister said in an interview with CBS News, which aired on Sunday.

Netanyahu added that during the discussion of military action with Trump, he had expressed the opinion that inaction carries a greater risk than military action.
