Iran is conducting its dialogue with the US on the settlement of the conflict only through Pakistan, although some other countries are also taking steps to ease tensions in the region, Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said.
“Various countries are maintaining contacts on this matter, and many countries in the region have real concerns about the escalation of tensions. However, the mediator remains Pakistan. Pakistan, as the official mediator between Iran and the US, continues to work in this direction,” the Iranian MFA spox said during a press conference.
As Baghaei noted, Qatar continues to be one of the most active countries in the region, maintaining good relations with both Tehran and Washington, and regularly shares its opinions and ideas with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on the matter of settlement.
