The Zhoghovurd newspaper of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: The military parade expected on May 28 is not just a festive event for the authorities; it is, by all accounts, turning into a political show.

According to Zhoghovurd daily's government sources, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has instructed to organize everything so that the planned military parade is as impressive as possible and causes a wide response among the public.

According to our information, in recent days, the [Armenian] military forces have been involved in preparatory work literally day and night. It is planned that the military parade will be held at [Yerevan’s] Republic Square on May 28.

However, the authorities' intention is not limited to this. According to government sources, after the military parade, on Pashinyan's instructions, the military equipment will remain on the central streets of the [Armenian] capital for a long time so that citizens have the opportunity to approach, watch, and photograph them.

Moreover, according to our information, Nikol Pashinyan is going to personally present the military equipment being displayed live, explaining the significance of each of them and what capabilities they are endowed with.

Thus, the military parade on May 28 seems to be not only a symbolic state day for the authorities, but also a prominent demonstration of power, [military] equipment, and political presence. And the main master of ceremonies, in fact, will be Pashinyan.
