From now on, Turkey will indicate Armenia also as the recipient country in its export documents. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, who is currently on vacation and heads the ruling Civil Contract party’s proportional representation list for the parliamentary election on June 7, told this to reporters Tuesday during their election campaign, as he commented on the phrase "the Turks are opening" by Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

Pashinyan clarified that this does not mean that Turkey will start physically supplying goods directly to Armenia. It is only about indicating Armenia as the recipient country in the documents.

"When goods are purchased from any country and exported somewhere, the recipient—the country of delivery—must also be indicated," he noted.

Nikol Pashinyan added that previously, according to Turkish law, Armenia was not on the list of final recipients, a third country was designated as the importing country, and the goods were sent to Armenia from that third country.
