The Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Anahit Manasyan, has raised issues related to the rights of Armenians deprived of their liberty in Azerbaijan at nearly 250 high-level international discussions and meetings over the years, the ombudsperson’s office told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

During the presentation of the 2025 annual report to the National Assembly, Manasyan emphasized that the key issue in this context is that all Armenians deprived of their liberty in Azerbaijan must be immediately released, as this is required by the international legal system of values and the logic of the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
