We welcome Turkey’s decision to lift barriers to bilateral trade with Armenia, which is another result of the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Turkey. The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia, Ani Badalyan, stated this regarding Turkey’s lifting of barriers to bilateral trade with Armenia.

“This decision is essential in terms of expanding ties between the trade and business circles of the two countries, promoting economic connectivity, and ensuring peace and prosperity in the region.

Let us emphasize that this is an important step towards the development of full and normal relations between the two countries, which can receive its logical continuation through the [re]opening of the Armenia-Turkey border and the establishment of diplomatic relations,” adds the statement by the Armenian MFA spokesperson.
