Maintaining peace in the Taiwan Strait is a key factor in US-China relations, Chinese President Xi Jinping said during a meeting with visiting US President Donald Trump.
The Chinese leader added that Taiwan's independent status is incompatible with regional peace.
"Taiwan independence and peace in the Taiwan Strait are incompatible phenomena," Xi stressed.
