YEREVAN. – Armenia’s state debt comprised 40.7 percent of the GDP, or US$ 4.13 billion, in the first quarter of 2012, Deputy Finance Minister and Chief Treasurer Atom Janjughazyan told news reporters. 

According to him, the country’s foreign debt made up 36.1 percent of the GDP, or $3.568 billion, and the domestic debt was $560 million.     

In the first quarter of 2011, Armenia’s state debt was $4.20 billion, whose $3.634 billion was foreign and $562 million was domestic debt.
