Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan probably shares Brussels' approaches to making life worse for citizens, as he associates himself with the European Union (EU) and the Brussels bureaucracy, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

"Do you remember that the main—well, practical—task of the Brussels bureaucracy, as we now understand, is that the citizens of their countries, their union countries, live worse, not better. Well, if Nikol (...) Pashinyan associates himself with the Brussels bureaucracy, he probably also perceives these so-called ‘approaches,’" Zakharova said on Sputnik radio.

She noted that, unlike the EU, cooperation in the Eurasian Economic Union is not politicized and is built on the basis of respect and equality, with the principles of a free market, fair competition, and legality.
