The benefits that Armenia gets from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) membership are obvious and guaranteed, and let the Armenians themselves decide how effective European integration will be, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

“It is not for us [i.e. Russia] to judge what dividends European integration can bring to Armenia, but we ourselves can record the benefits that Armenia gets from membership in the EAEU. This is, in fact, a stable few percentage points of the country’s GDP growth and annual development; that is the EAEU. Will the EU ensure this [to Armenia]? Well, perhaps that should be decided by the Armenians themselves, not us,” the Kremlin spokesperson told reporters.
