Armenia is not going to withdraw from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as it is well aware of the privileges that come with EAEU membership, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said.

“As far as we know, Armenia is not going to withdraw from the Eurasian Economic Union. There they understand very well both the scope of privileges and the amount of trade with other EAEU member states. Such amount of trade has become possible largely thanks to the preferential regimes that operate for Armenia. These are zero customs duties, harmonized standards, and harmonized technical regulations. Today, our [EAEU] markets are open, there is a free movement of goods. Therefore, Armenians understand very well the advantage that membership in the Eurasian Economic Union gives them, and they do not want to withdraw [from the EAEU],” the Russian deputy premier told reporters.
