Russian drones attacked a merchant ship in the Black Sea in the early morning hours of Friday, the Ukrainian navy said.

Accordingly, the Vanuatu-flagged ANT cargo ship—which belongs to a Turkish company—was heading to Turkey from a port in the Odessa region, with cargo. The drone hit the top of the ship, causing a fire, which was quickly localized with the help of units of the Maritime Search and Rescue Service and the Ukrainian navy.

Two crew members of the cargo ship were injured and taken to hospital.

Earlier, the authorities of the Odessa region had reported a massive drone attack, which was carried out in the early morning hours of Friday.

The Russian side did not comment on these strikes on Odessa and the Black Sea.
