The telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan covered almost all aspects of the situation related to Armenia's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), including the statement by the leaders of the four EAEU member states, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said, TASS reports.

"They discussed [it] in general," Peskov told reporters when asked whether the statement by the leaders of the four EAEU member states had been discussed. "The discussion was a continuation of the agenda that was discussed at the meeting of the Supreme [Eurasian Economic] Council in Astana."

According to Peskov, the statement by the leaders of the four EAEU member states assumes that all issues related to the nuances of Armenia's membership in the union will be worked out by December.

He noted that the relevant departments of the EAEU countries shall “report to the leaders on the progress of this issue.”

“All this still needs to be discussed by December,” the Kremlin spokesperson added.
