The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) will restrict imports of stone fruits to Russia from Armenia, starting Tuesday.

The respective statement notes that Rosselkhoznadzor has recorded increased cases of violations during the supply of fruits from Armenia to Russia. And taking into account the above-mentioned, starting from Tuesday, temporary restrictions are introduced on the import of stone fruits—cherries, apricots, plums, peaches, nectarines, and fresh grapes—from Armenia to Russia, as well as on the transit of these products to the other Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states, until the development of an appropriate algorithm for ensuring the safety of the delivered products, the statement adds.
