Armenia's Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Armen Ghazaryan received Lithuania's Vice Minister of the Interior, Gintaras Aliksandravicius, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The parties highly appreciated the effective cooperation established between Armenia and Lithuania, emphasizing the significance of the joint work carried out in recent years. In this context, special attention was also paid to the joint declaration on strategic partnership between Armenia and Lithuania signed on May 19, which creates a more solid foundation for further deepening cooperation between the two countries, including in internal affairs.

During the meeting, the work planned within the framework of the new program launched on Monday, funded by the European Union (EU), and in partnership with Lithuania, was discussed. It was noted that the program will play an important role in supporting the visa liberalization dialogue between Armenia and the EU in border management, document security, and law enforcement reforms.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to the continued development of cooperation, emphasizing the importance of exchanging experience and developing institutional capacities within the framework of joint programs. The Lithuanian side also reaffirmed its readiness to ensure active involvement in current and future initiatives with Armenia.
