Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) chairman—and businessman—Gagik Tsarukyan has filed a lawsuit against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, we learn from the DataLex judicial information system of Armenia.
In his lawsuit, Tsarukyan demands a retraction for the statements made against him by Pashinyan during a press briefing on May 28.
Also, the PAP leader demands 3,000,000 drams as compensation for damage caused by insult and 6,000,000 drams as compensation for damage caused by slander.
In addition, Tsarukyan demands to publicize and distribute in a number of media outlets the video and text of the retraction published.
The aforesaid lawsuit was received by the court on Tuesday. It will be examined in the Yerevan Civil Court.
