The International Monetary Fund advises Armenia to improve business climate for attracting and supporting interests and to reduce economic dependence from Armenia’s main military and political ally Russia where there are many Armenian immigrants. “We are very pleased with the macroeconomic history, the sound fiscal and monetary policy. However, what happens in microeconomics, in particular, regarding the business climate, requires significant improvements,” the permanent representative of IMF to Armenia Guillermo Tolosa said.
