The Past daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: [PM] Nikol Pashinyan and his authorities are finding new “methods” on a daily basis to oversee the electoral processes.

In particular, yesterday, one of the “outstanding” CC [i.e. the ruling Civil Contract party] members, referring to the information that more than 100 thousand RA citizens will come to Armenia from Russia to vote [in the parliamentary election] on June 7, had said that “out of 100 thousand people, we will send 30-40 thousand to [military] training drills.

Let’s leave aside the fact that these authorities are presenting the army, [military] service, and training drills as a punishment for the umpteenth time. It is much more noteworthy that such a statement is not actually a direct threat or “gibberish.”

According to our information, the authorities actually have such a decision. Moreover, they have already started this process; namely, they are immediately “inviting” [male] RA citizens under the age of 55 who are returning to Armenia from Russia to 25-day training camps.

The goal of this is, firstly, that these people participate in the vote under their “supervision,” and secondly, that, by such examples, they try to intimidate and prevent Armenia’s citizens from entering Armenia until June 7 inclusive. Here, however, one question remains: why are the [Armenian] authorities sure that [Armenia’s] citizens returning to their homeland from Russia will sweepingly vote for the opposition?
