A 22-member delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), headed by Damien Cottier (Switzerland, ALDE), will travel to Armenia from June 5 to 8 to observe the country’s parliamentary elections, alongside observers from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the European Parliament, and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), the Council of Europe informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The delegation will meet, in particular, leaders of political parties represented and not represented in Parliament, representatives of the Central Electoral Commission, the Anti-Corruption Committee and the Information Systems Agency, and civil society and the media, as well as members of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission, before observing the ballot on 7 June.

Following a pre-electoral visit on May 11 and 12, a PACE delegation issued a statement.

The parliamentary elections in Armenia will be held on Sunday.
