Armenia is no longer de facto participating in the activities of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

“Armenia has been de facto not participating in the work of the CSTO for quite a long time,” Peskov said Friday in the Izvestia newspaper’s studio on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Also, the Kremlin spokesperson expressed confidence that staying in the Eurasian Economic Union is more significant and profitable for Armenia.

Dmitry Peskov recalled the position of Russian President Vladimir Putin, noting that what is useful for Armenians is good for Moscow.
