Don’t be afraid, you also deserve changes. The Strong Armenia bloc’s prime ministerial candidate—businessman and philanthropist—Samvel Karapetyan stated this, addressing the country’s state employees.

“Dignified employees of the state system [of Armenia], I appeal to you, the people who are the backbone of our country, you are the people on whose shoulders our statehood is held with daily work. I know your dedication, I know how much effort and energy you put into your work, often not receiving the appreciation and remuneration you actually deserve.

On June 7, [parliamentary] elections will be held in our country, which will determine the future of Armenia. I assure you all that Armenia has only one choice. The Armenian people must choose our proposal to have a strong and prosperous country. They must reject instability, the mental imbalance of the country's leader, poverty, wars, and the entry of 300 thousand Azerbaijanis into our country.

I know that today there is pressure on many of you, I know that various superiors, government circles are trying to create an atmosphere of fear, to force you to vote for [PM] Nikol Pashinyan. They threaten to fire you or cause problems.

Today I want to tell you with all responsibility: don’t be afraid. In the voting booth you are alone before your conscience, the future of your children, and your God. No superior will be able to see your vote, and no superior has the right to control your free will.

There is no need to be afraid of changes. One should be afraid of leaving our country in the hands of these incapable authorities. After the victory of the Strong Armenia bloc [in the elections], we will radically change the attitude towards state employees. I guarantee: your salaries will increase significantly, you will no longer think about the difficulties of everyday family worries or heavy loans.

There will be no ministers receiving multimillion-dollar bonuses, there will be ordinary state employees receiving very high salaries and bonuses. Your families will be protected, and the quality of life will be much higher.

Your children will receive a decent and competitive education, without a large financial burden on your part. We will introduce special state programs so that every state employee has the opportunity to acquire housing on simplified terms.

We will put an end to patronage. Your promotion in office will depend only on your professionalism, and not on pleasing the authorities.

Dear friends, with your vote on June 7, you are not just choosing a party, but choosing a dignified life for yourself and your children. Go to the polls, be brave, reject coercion, we are with you, and after the elections, together we will bring change, we will build a strong Armenia where the state employee will live respected, protected and prosperous, I guarantee it,” Samvel Karapetyan stated.
